Can OT summon MD kits using program change?

Hi all,

I use my evolver with my OT and have no problem using patch recall… quite simple, just through the midi settings menu. Any way I can open a project file and immediately have an MD kit and pattern open? don’t have +drive, btw.

Change Kit or Sound via MIDI message?

Good evening. I’ve been searching through for a solution to this issue/problem/lack of ability (my own!). I wan’t the OT to tel the A4 what patch to use for the pattern I am sending from the OT. I’ve got the MDID NOTE SETUP page with the channel/Bank/Prog. Channel works fine as the pattern from the OT is playing; can’t get the patch to change though. What am I doing wrong? The searches I’ve made suggest issues exist with this, but surely OT to A4 must work?!

I guess without +Drive you have only one project.
So you can only load patterns with associated kits.
If you want to sync OT+MD patterns, it’s in OT’s MIDI > SYNC > PC send / receive.
Depending on your needs, a workaround would be to send SYSEX (check MD manual) via a midi processor, letting you change kits without changing pattern.
