I’d like to sync software to my A4 via USB, but it seems there’s no clock or transport messages being sent out this way (verified with MIDI Monitor). I’ve triple-checked my MIDI settings on the A4. Playing the mini-keyboard does send out notes. Of course if I use the MIDI out port, clock and transport are sent as they should be.
Is this normal behavior for the A4? I’m having a hard time recalling if it ever did send MIDI those messages via USB.
iirc this has been discussed a few times recently, it seems to be a known issue
Please confirm:
Global : MIDI Config : MIDI Sync : Clock send is checked
Global : MIDI Config : MIDI Sync : Transport send is checked

Global : System : USB Config - is USB/MIDI only checked?
Yep. Tried it with both USB only and Overbridge, same result.
This is not normal behavior. It would be best to open a support ticket at www.elektron.se
as I mentioned - it’s a known issue on AR - fix next month, may be same dodgy code 
@avantronica thanks for the info! knew this wasn’t normal. tried it on two different computers, same deal. so it’s really the firmware.

when the midi is sent to USB + DIN i get clock on DIN but none on USB (USB MIDI mode, not OB) … other messages getting through on both fine, i presume this will be fixed for the next OS
