Ot controling a4

…i’m asking myself, if i could control a4’s overall performance settings via scenes from the ot…

is there a chance to tell a slave synced a4 to shut up for example, once i perform such a break on the ot with a scene, if the a4 has it’s own separate channels on a mixer, not connected to any ot inputs…?

It’d be doable if there were midi scenes ! Maybe there’s a creative workaround …

Set a pattern on the A4 that has no triggers. Have the same pattern number on the OT with the break. Sync patterns between OT and A4. When you change to that pattern the A4 will not trigger. Or set triggers with volume all the way down.

…so, no cc’s via scenes…i remember now…update whish, i guess…

i’m asking, to avoid beeing forced to use the arrangers of both machines always chained up with each other…

to be honest, i never see me dealing with the arrangers in any stage situation…
i need two machines running in sync but independantly most of the time…and sometimes NOT…

so if have to screw around in the performance mode of a4 while i scratch a scene action to make them act as one machine, i’ll better find me a third hand to change to another pattern during that…

how about pattern/programm changes within an ot pattern…is there a chance to send such an order to the a4…
… with the midi sequencer, that should be possible, right?..

sorry for asking…but before i go and buy the next elektron machine for the new live rig i need to get some of these things clear…

another question, more for a4 users…how doeas the a4 react on incoming midi…i wanna sync up the a4 as slave to the ot and via a4’s midi through i wanna trigger a nord drum module with ot’s midi sequencer…

The Analog Four’s MIDI Thru works perfectly. Just make sure the MIDI channels are set appropriately on all machines.
