Record Trig use cases

Hi,

Few months back, I found a really interesting thread where someone said: “let’s be honnest, no one is using record trig elsewhere than on the first step” …

Another guy came and said : “ok here’s a list of awesome examples on how you could use the record trigs”

My knowledge of the OT was limited at that time but I feel ready for trying out some of the examples. Anyone remember the thread? I already tried googling as welle as searching on elektronauts with no luck :frowning:

Don’t remember the thread, but you don’t have to use a great deal of your imagination to see how using record trigs somewhere other than the first step could be useful and interesting!

Just thinkg about this quickly, isn’t moving rec trigs the same as moving the playback trigs though? Or, both methods can produce the same end result (offsetting audio playback)?

Ahh yeah wait I got it - polymetric rec and playback (use track 1 to rec and track 2 to playback buffer 1, adjust both tracks to have uneven step lenghts from each other)… sounds like something I gotta try! thx for the idea
