Rytm pattern change from Ableton (AKA: I'm stupid)

Hi Elektronauts,

Hopefully one of you can tell me which glaringly obvious thing I’m missing:

How do I get Ableton to tell my Rytm to change to a different pattern? I’ve searched through the forums and the manual and have, I think, set up the Rytm to accept program change messages from the same channel that Ableton is sending them on.

However, when I create a MIDI clip in Ableton and tell it to send a Program / sub / bank message, nothing happens.

Can one of you walk me through the correct procedure for making the Rytm play a different pattern when Ableton tells it to?
