i dont’t know what i’m doing wrong but i want to transfer some samples from my laptop to the rhythm but when i try to make a new map to transfer them to i have to create a dir and when i try to make one every time when i give a name and press yes comes errror and when i push upload here he says write protected dir but i cant write anything

Are you using any special characters in the name? I can’t imagine that would be an issue but you never know.
If your RYTM is brand new then you could re: format the +Drive and reset to factory default and try again.
If not, sounds like a question for Support.

It seems to me you’re in the “factory” sample folder which is write protected. Have you tried creating the folder in the “incoming” directory?
and how do you reset the +drive

I’d double check first that you’re not trying to create a folder / upload to the Factory folder like Xidnpnlss suggests.

I take advantage of this post to explain my problem.
Anytime i do transfer some samples to my AR i’ve got numbers instead of file names.
Hope someone knows what i 'm talking about.

Unfortunately names will not transfer over on the current OS. You’ll have to rename them on the AR again. Should be fixed soon I hope cause it sucks!

You can send named files. I do it all the time. Make sure you check the right boxes (the 1st and 2nd, I think).
Are you referring to some boxes in the C6?
Yes
Names works for me on C6. In config I have all 3 Sample checkboxes ON.
Correct, “extended SDS” is the box you want to check for preserving file names…

i downloaded the v 1.4 of C6. I don’t know where i found this old version.

Hi i was also struggling with the 1.4 version
Now at least the samples are being sent to a new directory i created
However i still dont quite understand the architecture
I initially tried to send the samples to free spaces on the + drive (bank B)
as you would do with the A4,
but the AR just showed “waiting”
So where is my folder full of samples if its not on the + drive?
(p.s thanks to Lars i tried using google to search rather than the internal search engine, its def much better,
put “site:www.elektronauts.com your problem” in google)
But i mostly came across unfinished threads
