You might want to get it checked out. Heat and electronics don’t mix.
Updated mine, works fine. My kid digs it to boot.
Updated mine, works fine. My wife digs it to boot.
I had a MF once and it was OK. I did some presets for it. I agree they should have added some fx but then again I have helix and zoia for that if needed.
I however don’t find a vocoder that interesting. I’ve been thinking of maybe picking the MF back up some day for used but still not sure again.
Trying to get my mate to update his. I’ll dig it to boot.
I had the MF for a while and really enjoyed it. I only let it go because I had too many synths and pared down to one sampler, one synth and an iPad.
That said. I found it really usable, even without effects. A great, cheap option for effects for MF, though, is the Korg NTS-1. Put those two together and you suddenly have a powerhouse of versatility for less than $400.
Does anyone know if Arturia will be releasing more soon?
They seem to be out of stock in many places.
Hey guys, does the audio input functions only for vocoder?
Can you process external audio using Microfreak’s filter and envelops instead? (like a Korg Monologue)
Thanks
There’s no Audio Input. The Vocoder is used with the Headphones Output.
Yes, the “secret” audio input can be used only in combination with the vocoder at the moment.
“in theory” you can route any audio to the headphone plug from your source via a TRRS cable. the plug doesn’t know the difference btwn a vocal signal and any other audio signal. but you would need to find the correct cabling, or make a custom one. so it’s possible, but not sure how easy it is to do in reality, or if it’s even worth the effort. best of luck.
No, it’s not. While you can send any signal in, the incoming signal will be directly routed through the vocoder. There is no way to apply, for example, only the filters to the external signal.
