I’m excited about the Digitakt and was thinking it would be nice to figure out a good portable power source for it. I already have a nice battery powered monitor that can power my midi devices through USB and some other battery powered gear. It would be neat if something would work well with the Digitakt. I guess it’s maybe hard to know without knowing the wattage of the unit? Anyone try this with any other elektron gear? I mostly just use stuff at home but I always like the option.

USB powering Digitone for portable jamming

Hello Elektronauts! I’m trying to power my Digitone using a USB powerbank so that I can jam outdoors during the summer, and I hit a snag: I tried the following cable from Amazon with a 2.0A power bank, and the Digitone lit up for about 1 second, but then turned off before it had the chance to fully boot (didn’t even get to the logo display step on the main screen). I am wondering if this is due to the cable (below) or the bank. My bank is rated for 2.0A, and I have seen other examples of people…

Birdcord - A Big Thumbs Up

Nothing new, just a big thumbs up - If you’re European and keep reading off-putting Ripcord experiences when trying it power your Digitakt, I want to point you at the company SongbirdFX and the Birdcord converter cable. I have just spent the last three hours playing with my Digitakt off grid using an Anker 20000mah and a Birdcord. It barely uses any power and I still had 3/4 power left.
