I saw a review where somebody dropped theirs and there’s definitely no spring tank in there … might be too tight for one in terms of depth
TC do a digi one, but i’d expect they used a cheaper in-house one to implement electronically … it’s not like their mixers come with those lovely TC effects unfortunately, not even in the Arp model they did
Yeah i could have been clearer in my post. The 2600 circuit board has built in a connection for either the digital, or to be able to plug in an external physical spring. ( There is a teardown video that was posted somewhere showing this. ) The circuit board is the same across the 2600 models. The “maybe” was for the same sort of thing in the Model 15 which i doubt they did.
I suspect digital reverb in the 2600 is the same KT algorithm they used in the Odyssey FX unit which I’m pretty sure is the same as they use in some of their UBFX mixers. It’s not bad but nothing amazing
It sounds great, but I’ve already got a few analog monosynth options. If they parlay this design into a polyphonic/paraphonic Martriach clone for ~$600, I might have to buy.
this sounds a little bit like every other behringer analog to me. but that could just be me. does this sound particularly moog or specifically moog grandmother to most of you?
id love to have one, but im not sure it would add much in my setup as i have a crave and a pro-1. the cat and the k2 were pretty unique i guess. the arp had a lot of options for sound design, but the osc section wasnt much more unique than the others. the kobol actually sounds very nice and unique to me in demos. but when i hear demos of things like the mono-poly or poly-d, and especially the ms-1. they just sound kind of similar. i imagined that this one would at least have more of a modern moog flavor due to the filter, if nothing else
do they still use the same 3340 vco chip as the older ones?
should maybe hold out for the ms-5 but i prefer the desktop formats
I’ve heard that the Model-15 has been pulled from sale by Thomann. Gear4Music had stock as well and have pulled them too. Apparently it has some problems especially the S&H function. Behringer are now aware of the issue and are looking into it!
Behringer has released a DIY-solution for the S&H-issue, and a user from Sequencer.de has put into action. The Video is in german. Be away, this might affect the warranty.
Youtube’s automatic captions and translation both seem to work pretty well for this video. I don’t speak German myself, but the captions make sense in the context of the fix.
