C64 Music

Triad has had some nice little weird releases recently!

Agreed! I’ve noticed a few, and they’re definitely a bit different.

This one’s kind of interesting (not Triad, but interesting music).

One of the best games of all time! Four players, and excellent with friends after a few drinks.

Just made me laugh because it must be one of the earliest games and had just rudimentary graphics.

Oh. Got one more: Burger Time!!

There are TONS more that my brother and I used to play all the time when we were kids. The above list are just some of my favorites.

Yeah we had practically everything, too. Don’t even remember all the names…

Ah…. Cybernoid was a great shooter later 80s with excellent graphics and sound

There are some good newer games too:

Portal (yes as in based on the Valve one)
Canabalt
L’abbaye des morts

All free to download. I’m not much of a gamer these days, but enjoyed those, in fact past 6-7 years the only games I played were on C64, obviously there are tons more great new and old games.

I have L’abbaye for genesis (rom) and it’s pretty good from a puzzle/platformer perspective. Someone did a donkey kong jr port for c64 as well as some others.

Yes, saw that new port of DK Jr.

There’s also a modern version of Ghosts n Goblins from a few years back.

Super Mario Bros. is another one from the last few years.

The original Mario Bros. game on the C64 is quite good too, but it doesn’t have the little floor distortion when you hit it like the Arcade and NES versions.

The Castlevania port is as good as any for the original game.

Is skate or die a port to c64? I thought that was a nintendo exclusive rip off of the arcade game 720

Don’t know, but not unlikely. During that time, many games were ports, either from arcade game machines or from other home platforms such as Amiga or Atari ST.
