Wasn’t sure where to post this, but it’s too good not to share here
His latest video is a deep dive on a bunch of different techniques Richard uses. Even if you don’t want to sound like Aphex Twin, it’s a goldmine of ideas and inspiration, and one of Captain Pikant’s best videos.
Oh and it’s very funny too, esp the track name pronunciation guide
Hi there and sorry for hijacking your comment but am having a hard time navigating through the hundreds of threads.
So i posted this question but wanted to ask you.
Just watched your video on the DT2 where you create a 303-ish bassline.
I chose the same single cycle and replicated all your steps but when i come to the filter
point in the video at min 4 i get a completely different sound.
Squeltchy and harsh while yours sounds like its a different filter somehow, softer.
Do you by any chance have this as a preset? Or do you have a preset pack in general for the Dt2?
Would pay for it of course
Peace
Hey @Simpleuser, most likely we already had changed the filter type from “multi-mode” to “lowpass 4”. That should be the missing ingredient Just in case it isn’t we’ve exported the preset for you since we had the DT2 on the desk today anyway. No need to pay
