AK. For sure. #4TracksMusic
A4mk2 needs 12V input via a standard connector. So all you need is a Powerbank (or any other kind of battery) that provides stable 12V. Thats possible!
For the Island: Currently M:C. Even that I don’t own one yet, I would take a OTmk2 for sure!
I would like to take part in this discussion but I sold all my Elektron gear to buy one mask on amazon.
the one i dont have is always the best one!
@Uija Only problem is finding one that is small, light and portable lol. We already have to use a special converter cable to get 12V to the Digitakt from a 2A powerbank.
No one has come up with a similar solution as to the 12V ripcable that is currently being sold for the Digitakt, etc.
For my Astronomy I have a heavy battery pack to supply 12V to my gear, but it’s not exactly light and super portable.
Would probably go with the Octatrack + Tascam DR-05
…given the fact that u could focus full on and have the time, once locked up, to take a real deep dive into the sonic tool of ur choice, the ot is still the very most versatile machine for itself…
add a mic and don’t forget ur headphones and ur all fine…

You don’t need 9V, 12V is the voltage delivered by Elektron PSU.

OT with tons of samples and/or a field recording device. I could see myself making weird breakcore sampling the emergency broadcast system when society breaks down entirely ‘any infected looters will be shot; survivors will be shot again’
I have seen that thread.
I have an official 12V ripcord cable to power my Digitakt and it works great.
This cable also works with the Digitone and Octatrack mk2, but not with the Analog Four Mk2.
Something is clearly different with the Analog Four and MyVolts has yet to find a solution to this and find out what is different about the Analog Four mk2.
He has been making powerbank cables for a lot of different synth gear for quite some time.
So I am not going to take any chances with my brand new Analog Four mk2 and try “wonky”
solutions that might end up frying my Analog Four and voiding warranty in the process.
There are a lot of bad powerbanks out there and you should take especially great care with these that can output that much power!
For me it’s gotta be the Octatrack. In a few weeks or months I may change my mind and say the Machinedrum, but for now I’m very comfortable with the OT and feel like I can do everything I want and make complete songs with just that if I needed to.
OT no question.
OT for sure
