FX loop tut for OT?

manual page 40:

PROJECT/MIDI/CONTROL
set AUDIO CC OUT => INT

It will not cause any other problems. You are simply saying that you do not want changes in parameters on audio tracks to send MIDI data.

If you are using the cue outs to run into the Microcosm then cue levels will be simply affecting the level going to the Microcosm rather than anything to do with MIDI.

So I’ll just leave Audio CC Out on INT. Thank you so much, having unlocked the power of Microcosm from within OT is truly amazing!

That’s probably the cleanest, simplest approach. And if you feel like deeper MIDI control in time then you can do so using the OT MIDI tracks.

Have fun!

He can’t do it with CC switched to INT though.

I have a similar configuration: Cue to Microcosm and back to the OT AB inputs. I don’t use any Thru track though, just the AB Dir set around 100 in the mixer.

I also don’t use the Cue mutes option. I just need to adjust Cue volume on taste and it behaves as a wet track. So i try to have FX volume on the MC on max for each preset which the MC doesn’t seem torecall always. I sometimes need to do it manually. One drawback of the MC is the inequal output volume for different algorithms.
Think about setting up the Line Levl input as mentioned earlier and for myself i always use a Midi track for driving the MC. It will remember preset (per part) and settings and you can give movement with an LFOor p-locking parameters. Make things more controllable and interesting.

I thought that CC Out only impacted the actual turning of the knobs sending corresponding CCs, but that using the MIDI sequencer would still allow for sending CCs even with the CC Out set to Int?

That should allow for modulating parameters with MIDI, just using ones you assign in the MIDI sequencer instead of the hardcoded ones associated with “local control”.

Yep my bad, reading the manual again, i think you’re right. I think i don’t really get the MIDI CCs affecting the audio tracks, unless maybe you map CCs to something corresponding to the audio tracks (seems unfortunate).
