Elekron says the Grid machine slices into similarly sized segments

Oh. That’s from DT2 manual. Surprising, since it was confirmed by elektron that DT2 dropped the zero-crossing detection and thus had exact segments.

Does GRID match zero-crossings automatically as on DT1 ?

It doesn’t match the slice points to zero crossings for the reasons you mention
