It might be possible that Exit 100 and Arcadipane sampled the same thing though. Didn’t occur to me so far

I just found this connection -

this is one of my very favourite Techno Tracks and I was always fascinated by this sludgy sounds there (well actually all sounds there). Turns out it’s sampled from my favourite Industrial band, Esplendor Geométrico:

Yeah, it’s so cool to find out something familiar between two tracks. Looks like sampling a whole synth riff was a popular method then… Makes sense when sound production was quite expensive and tedious (no new VST & Native Instruments libraries updates every day)

I was so happy when I understood where these samples are coming from (link with no spoiler comments if anyone wanna try)

…and full compilation was a brilliant!
noisy brutal gabba and hardcore and my first experience of breakcore and noise music - tracks
Somatic Responses–Incubation

Oh yeah, this was real breakthrough compilation, that’s where I found Fischkopf Hamburg and other extreme labels. By the way Somatic Responses did not produce any other track of such level of madness, they even released Praxis EP with compilation works, but the rest of tracks were more tame (unless I missed elsewhere)

No phone? That is a trait in these times, so much freedom. Respect.

My music was just compared to Laura Grabb, and somehow she was not on my radar. Just did internally rave to this:

I consider her more of a hard-acid-techno producer, but yeah, good stuff

That mid and later 90’s hard acid tech scene was incredible btw. So cool these guys published their catalog (Laura is present too on some records)

Hmm, I’ve listened to a lot of her stuff now, I seldomly stumbled upon acidy things, but tons of distorted yummie kicks and strange noises, which is hardcore for me

Another super cool track:

(Too bad a lot of those tracks have no high-end, I have to get Izotope RX Advanced some day …)

Like your Lilla My picture. As a Finn moomins are an inseparable part of my identity :slightly_smiling_face: Also here it’s a statutory obligation to own these

This will always be the end of that era for me, given Marc’s focus on other things…

But this was his PCPs hardcore peak:
