 You also had a E25 DT, isn’t it ? Confused about all these button mixes…what became DT1 E25 and og ST…

Different buttons for ST tracks 13-16 is a good idea.

Yep, the DT e25 went back for repair and never returned. The e25 Syntakt had a scratch on the glass screen, so I ordered a button pack and some merch in addition to the replacement screen as Elektron charge the same for international shipping regardless of order size.

OG ST and DT e25 were sold/returned with the correct buttons

Thanks for clarification.
So now you have spare black buttons !

Didn’t you peel it off?

Have recently acquired a DT2 and am really enjoying it. I used the DT1 for a while before they added all the additional machines, so that with the stereo tracks and all the other goodies is a really nice upgrade. One thing I’d really love though is a track solo option, particularly with 16 tracks it feels like quite a big omission to me coming from a Rytm.

Yes, got a box full of buttons!

The e25’s don’t come with any plastic on their screens unfortunately, they are glass not plastic too, shame they don’t have the plastic as it might have protected it!

This is probably a dumb question, but I need advice.

For my weekly live gig I went from using syntakt/OT to an MPC/Syntakt. Mainly because the MPC has such amazing sound quality, BUT I don’t enjoy working with it much.
I started finishing all my tunes in Logic, mixed and ā€˜mastered’ then cut them up into 4-16 bar chunks and loading them into an MPC clip program. This allows me to go from section to section as I see fit and add little extra parts using a synth, guitar or even just MPC’s fx. Works great, but feels too much like I’m just DJ’ing my own music and when I’m in Clip Edit mode, the clock sync to my other machines drifts too much.
I’ve been wanting an excuse to check out a DT2 and am wondering if it would do well to replace the MPC for this purpose…? My sets are usually 8 ā€˜songs,’ broken up into 8-16 different loops, so it seems like a single DT project would have enough sample memory for such a task? Seems like I’d get more opportunities to improvise and sync up all my Elektron boxes this way. Does this feel like a decent move?

For anyone needing to transfer wavs from iPad to DT2, I’ve been playing with the transfer:samples app.

Quick question that has already been answered I believe but can’t find on Google: with DT II, it looks like the way to add a sound to the sound pool is to go through the presets? We can’t anymore go to the samples folders and assign several samples to soundpool? I want to be able to sound lock different samples in the same track

You can still do this exactly the same unless I’m misunderstanding

Hey @brian3kb, mind sharing photos of your hybrids here? Trying to create a comprehensive thread for inspiration: Photos of modded (E25) hybrids

I was able to do it on DT I but can’t find the solution with DT II. Will try again later

Yes you can.
Go to the PRESET/KIT menu.
On the PRESET half, choose ā€œMANAGEā€
There you can select several samples (or all samples of a Bank, with right arrow)
Then Left arrow and choose ā€œadd to poolā€.

What do you guys think of the sampling memory, seems a bit short with only 20gb or maybe it’s really enough?

More than enough for me, the RAM is short tho. I fill the sample pool quite easily

That’s a question I’m trying to sort, but got no answer…hoping it’s enough RAM to load a full sets worth of loops and stems and whatnot.
EDIT- I’ve done rough calculations on what I use in a typical 8 song set…it’s cutting things very close. I can usually pull this off in my MPC Live 2, but I really want to get a DT2 instead for live stuff. Way prefer Elektron sequencers

Hello there fellow Elektron Digitakt Lovers!

Stoked as i am about Overbridge dropping today. Im having some trouble installing…

The Overbridge Engine app says:
please go to Security and Privacy settings and allow Overbridge Engine to install the system extension USB driver

???

After installing i already clicking an allow button???..

(Mac M1 Sequoia 15.0.1)

I added the Overbridge engine to the accessibility app list, but nothing happens?

I get the notification: USB Driver needs approval

???

How do i fix this?

Did anyone manage to set it up properly and can you provide me with the steps?

appreciated

Cheers :metal:

I think there’s a thread specifically about osx sequoia that talks about this and has a solution.

EDIT: In case anyone else needs it:
