Can anyone tell if there’s a way to preview the sound in place while you’re browsing for it? I.e. with the sequence currently playing, start browsing for presets and previewing the sequence with the preset . It doesn’t seem like there’s a way to do it which seems kind of odd to me.
Not working, been on my wishlist for elektron boxes for years
posted this on the wrong topic, oops.
I’ve been playing around with song mode on the Digitone 2, cutting out the last bar of a pattern and replacing it with a “fill” bar with different delay and reverb settings and stuff. I didn’t tweak any parameters live while recording this, I just hit play on the Digitone 2 and let song mode do the rest.
And a clean version with just a limiter and no other post processing:
Fucksake Joey.
Evergreen post
It can feel quickly overwhelming since each tweak seems to open even more possibilities, if you enjoy exploring and going nowhere it’s awesome, if you look for a certain sound, just focus and will end up there eventually. I am reading the manual too it will take some months to absorb it gradually and yet still be a lot to discover. This machine sooner you have it the better it will be in the future, exponentially better
First production with DN II only. This is how it sounds straight from DN, no further processing at all:
Will work with it in Ableton from here on, but I’m already liking what I can do with just DN II.
What, a 3:03 Track without any Acid sound!
I actually managed to make the bass sound quite a bit like SH 101, but that didn’t fit. Maybe I‘ll use for a track that’s 1:01.
Nope, but risking to state the obvious, at least you can activate the keyboard and play along… not the same but it helps…
Digitone II beta testing on the homepage, excited to multi track this thing!
Been doing a shootout of sorts between the DN2 and my EssenceFM, thinking perhaps I could sell off my EFM. After two days I decided I’ll be keeping them both…at least for now
Just ordered one – oh gawd.
Just seems to be perfect for an all-in-one jambox
Your track is beautiful, but as a dubstep fan I have to tell you that I would have spiced it all up with a nice, meaner bass. Nice work anyway, I hope sooner or later I can do something similar with the Digitone
Will you make a sound pack for the DN2 also? Your soundpacks for the other elektrons are my favorites of all packs ever owned
Where is that exactly? Sorry if it’s obvious - I’m cooking lunch while looking.
