Lend us your ears

Nothing here has given me the impression its along the MD/MNM lines sound wise.

Sounds very ‘Cycles’ with each tune using a fairly limited number of tracks.

Erik Satie!?

Am I imagining it, or was there a second reverb tone between the a and b sections?

For what it’s worth I’ve enjoyed this, and excited to see what’s behind the tunes

new places from a new sound

One of the tracks did some weird reshuffling of the drums. Almost like scales set differently to create polyrhythms but much more coherent it felt like

Swappable FX algorithms would be gravy.

I’m happy if you find typos, because it means you actually read the manuals :grinning:

This is exactly where my head was!

Gnossiennes are my fave of Satie, though. :heart_decoration:

Agreed. Though, thats the trouble of this kind of reveal. I’m more interested in what is possible not what is done.

Some tracks sounded nice, but I’m not reaching for my wallet

This made me cackle a little.

Especially some of the percussive synthesis I don’t think it would be easy to do without samples. If the new gear has samples then yeah ok…anything is possible

Truth is to be found probably in naming it “Sonic Metropolis”

@eangman can we expect anymore info today outside of the radio show?

Really like the sound of what’s happening here with the soundscape, although increasingly convinced it’s a mono chord machine rather than an actual chord

Starting to feel that way also
