Keep an eye on the b-stock lists of various stores. There was one up on thomann.de just yesterday.
Can I ask what patch you’re referring to here? I just purchased a used SP and it could use a tune.
Sure
There’s info in the Update_e.txt file from the firmware download. “Autotune should be called from a preset without modulation. E.g. Preset 1 bank 30, and of course nothing can be adjusted on the device during the process.”
It’s not obvious where to find this info for sure! Hope this helps.
Thanks! That worked!
I love this demo video and the first one by Maison Vague so much…
In this video it‘s especially patch 7, which is so well imagined and played, wow.
Patch 9 has some kind of John Carpenter vibe to imho.
Looks/sounds like a brilliant unique instrument.
Sadly it seems they might not go back into production.
MFB website is down…
Only very recently I heard about this… who knows what will happen to MFB
RIP.
Anyone know if these are sold anywhere? It’s so rare to see one for sale…
I’m not sure we’ll see them again
@ddiamond84 There’s one for sale/trade on the Facebook mfb synth pro users group.
Thanks for looking out! I messaged them.
I think that I saw 1 at Schneidersladen last week if FB doesn’t work out
Also one on reverb (selling from Japan).
I saw that one, but I’m weary buying stuff abroad in case there’s any issues:(
Thank you for the heads up though!
I recently discovered what these synths sounded like and am upset they are currently not active now. I understand they lost the chief builder and developer.
I was pretty interested in the MFB Synth pro. Although feel uncomfortable if I cannot update or get support from it, because I read of many bugs in the firmware. Any thoughts about getting one guys?
Well, all I can say is that my beloved Dominion 1 never let me down since a couple of years now.
The main thing I would say is that it seems like a calculated risk to buy MFB now. I accept that my Tanzmaus may die one day and that will be it. Someone in the founder’s family was supposed to take over when the founder died, but I don’t get the impression when people post about MFB that the company is responsive to inquiries these days.
You might try contacting the company before buying, re support for the Synth Pro, and see if anyone answers you.
Apparently there is a small batch of these made for pre-order on Schneider’s:
Wait, what? Wow.
Edit: assuming Schneider’s didn’t just activate the old listing by mistake?
