This thing looks ace.

Congrats Polyend on keeping their advertised schedule in these challenging times.

Cant wait to get my shipping notification…

Damn didnt think this quarantine would be this fun, cant go to the studio anymore, so the Tracker will join the Deluge and the ASM Hydrasynth Desktop on the coffee table, haha, no biggie.

Regret that I did not pre-order one. But, now I can watch all those videos and make up my mind. I must admit, it’s a wonderful device.

Whoa they just dumped a truckload of videos on YT, watched quite a few of them, finding myself more tempted than I thought I’d be… this thing is awesome!!! Why, why no internal battery or battery powered option!?

I love the fact that the videos are straightforward, each time a new song and short. Good job Polyend.

I’m really happy I pre-ordered it. This summer is gonna be awesome :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Agreed. At least it’s USB-powered though, which makes it easy to connect to a USB battery pack.

Yeah that’s something, but then there’s the constant anxiousness when the micro-usb cable is plugged in and it’s on your lap. One wrong move and you’re screwed with a busted USB post. I wish at least that the USB port was recessed or something.

It seems that USB-C is easier to plug/unplug even unintentionally which would make it more resilient through time. It’s just an feeling I might be wrong.

Yeah but regardless of the port type, putting too much pressure on it from an angle other than straight in or out is going to break it. It’s happened to me with 3.5mm and micro-usb multiple times, and mini-usb a few times, and barrel jacks a few times too. Maybe you can open it up and re-solder to the pads, but often the pads have been lifted and you have to expose a trace and solder to it.

I’m not saying it’s a dealbreaker, it’s just not as ideal as it could be.

Agree, recessed USB is a GOOD idea. I’d rather wreck the chord vs the units connection.

I know this is touchy but…was the manual ever uploaded?

I was just wondering what the MIDI capabilities are [if anyone knows anything]

how long til someone hacks a battery pack into this thing?

Is the Polyend Tracker MIDI compatible?

Yes, it can send and receive MIDI communicates over its dedicated MIDI I/O jack ports and the bidirectional USB type C port.

  • MIDI output sends: clock/transport/notes/CC/PC,
  • MIDI input receive: clock/transport/notes/microves,

What type of 3,5mm jack to MIDI DIN adapter Tracker use?

The tracker needs 3,5mm jack to MIDI DIN TRS type B adapter.
It’s attached in the kit. But if you’d need another one, that’s what you need.

No worries, manual is released on 1st June I think.

Do we know the pitch algorithm? It seems like it’s not just slowing down or speeding up the sample to change the pitch.

can the lanes have different lengths? if so are they continuous or do the lanes reset after the longest loops?

[lemme know if these are dumb questions]

From what I understood you can set one of the fx lanes to jump to any step, so for setting a track to a different loop length you could set it to jump to start at whatever step number you want.
