Reacher....... Really, could they have cast this any worse?

I was waiting for this show since it was announced almost everywhere. But the cast… I do not know, it seems like this show was done in order to just put a cross in the bullet list “Shows in which we do not believe”.

I was notified by each episode thanks to tvsboy.com website. I watched it till the end and it is my the biggest disappointment in all TV shows. Even my bf is still joking with me by saying “Welcome to the club of wasted time for nothing”…

I feel like everyone here is being mind controlled to state the exact opposite of reality.

Reacher in the show is exactly how he’s portrayed in the novels. “Alan Ritchson here plays Jack Reacher who is 6’5’’, 250 pounds of solid muscle in the novels.” Only difference is he should’ve been even taller in the show. This is some of the best casting I’ve ever seen in a tv show, and I’ve seen hundreds, maybe thousands of shows. There were a few cliches and unrealistic aspects, but that didn’t ruin the show for me. It still had great writing and acting overall.

Oh my

Well, there is a new season of Reacher next month. Maybe this is part of a guerrilla hype campaign?

I liked Reacher and I’m not a bot.

My wife liked it too, but for very different reasons.

Yeah was good fun, good mix of comedy and violence and see why the big hulk guy can be a pull to the wider audience.

Is funny how a fan found this forum and dug up the old thread to defend their love of the show. Dedication

yep I’m gonna stick with the opinion that this was as bad a cast as queen latifah for the Equalizer
however I can see the potential to enjoy this, but probably just comes down to the fact that I enjoyed and prefer the movie roll…

Reacher was awesome! Dude that played him was also in Blue Mountain State as Thad. Played a first class douche and nailed it!

I could see that, he was also in some titans super hero stuff and annoying as h*ll

I thought it was a little bit corny, but I only watched the first season.

When I saw who the main actor was, I knew it would be a tad corny going in and it didn’t disappoint! Probably why I liked it!

I didn’t hate it.

Haven’t watched any episodes, but from the clips I’ve seen it seems like the ultimate dad show. As a non-dad, I can still appreciate it for what it is

I, somewhat astonishingly, enjoyed Season 1. Season 2 not so much, but I think it was because the charm wore off a bit; story was alright I suppose.

I disliked the Tom Cruise movie for the same reasons I didn’t see him as Lestat. He can pull off parts, but not those parts for me anyway.

The office guy is the American office guy every time I see him, despite not being awful… I just can’t NOT see the office guy, and as one who started with the Ricky Gervais version of the office, I didn’t like the US version any, or anything about it (in fact I actively dislike it). So just seeing him reminds me how much I dislike that show.

I love the (American) office, the humor is so nuanced.

Totally enjoyable over-the-top popcorn nonsense

What is a dad show?

LOL, youtube showed me some clips of this series.

So, this person is supposed to be imposing? but comes off as unsure of himself, where he is and what’s his situation … due being on a beginner level of acting …

funny to see this now here!

I don’t want him to learn about himself. When he reflects he looks like a cow standing in a field. Just break shit and ride the bus!
