If you pay the entire amount you get the legs for free.
I wonder if it comes with stickers ?

Stickers are probably coated in melted-down tines, so I’m guessing another $350 add-on.
Cirklon wait times?
Nice choice of colors.
Black, Gold Sparkle, Silver Sparkle, Violet, Baby Blue, Pink, Mint Turquoise, Khaki, Traffic White, Red, Orange, Warm Grey and Smoked Transparent.
The transparent one is cool, maybe I can get more than one color and change them out.
I’m choosing between Violet and Mint Turquoise !
in 2007, I bought a Wurlitzer 200A at a church yard sale for $200. works perfectly.
dumb question, but is that USD?
as others have pointed out, a well-serviced vintage one is cheaper. I know which route I’d take.
Are you getting the full electronics ?
I’ve been wondering some about the details on the electronics.
And have they talked about the USB ?
Yes, it is USD.
Yeah got full electronics. Just figured if I’m doing this, might as well be fully decked out.
How come there’s nothing more than a few sound demos on SoundCloud ? How can people judge something worth +$10K and decide with just that ?
Because I’m an idiot.
was it 500$ to ship?
props, yo. i seriously don’t think trading in my 11 year old vw gti would give me enough money to buy one of these.
Sorry I didn’t mean to judge you or anything, I’m just frustrated that Rhodes doesn’t provide more than a few sound clips for a long awaited product release. I don’t get it, do they just rely on the name of the brand to sell it ? Is it because they can’t produce more than 500 a year ?
haha no worries, I’m judging myself plenty. I am putting a lot of trust in them. They seem to have quite a bit of clout behind it. Kluge of Steinway doing the piano keys and action. and Alex Hartmann did an amazing job giving it a timeless classic look. Cant wait to display it in my living room. Something completely my opinion on the vinatge vibe pianos. They are cool but not exactly my style, and the name “vintage vibe” is so on-the-nose. The word vintage is subjective. Something that does not matter at all to the sound, but whatever.
Hi Jukka, Dan, CPO from Rhodes here. This is a great question and just wanted to say hi and chime in.
The USB is currently for firmware updates. Though the signal path is completely analogue, we can control many things using the digital layer, as the majority of the pots are scanned. Things that COULD be done include swapping out panning waves, changing pot ranges/rates and curves, and also it’s entirely possible to feed the time/LFO based effects MIDI clock (panning, effect rates, etc). Once we have our MIDI system finished, the USB will also send MIDI out. Again, I can’t give a definite timeline on these features and which functions will definitley make the cut, but just wanted to let you know what it’s potentially capable of and we are of course working to bring all these to the piano asap.
Thank you Dan for this detailed response. It fills in a lot of the missing pieces for me. Professionally i am a new product developer, so i completely understand how fluid this sort of thing can be. It’s great that your design was so open to these sorts of adjustments and improvements.
This sounds like an especially good idea. Being able to tie these sorts of effects back to a clock would be very effective and musically useful.
Congratulations on the successful product launch, of the Mk8. Much success to the whole team going forth.
Hello Dan, it’s nice to see you in here. I’m one of the people who have faith in Rhodes and ordered a beautiful MK8. But as others i’m very curious about the order number. My number suggests that there are thousands people in front of me and as you have stated on your website you will only produce 500 in 2022. Moreover, i didn´t receive a password to activate my account on the Rhodes website as it was stated in the order process. It would be so great from you to get some insight about that. Thank you in advance, you invented a stunning new Rhodes there.
thank goodness, for a minute there I thought you were gonna say you’re the guy that stole my C3 for $500
nice score!
