yep just as i wrote… “saved as part of Reactors native features…”
I just want to know if everything has a Tim Exile sound to it? Can it go hypnotic with a tad bit of dirty edge? When I watched Tim’s demo, everything still sounded like Tim Exile, which is cool, but wondering if it goes darker. I will say that Tim never ceases to amazed me with his hard work ethics, and unique device creation. Wonder if he has a whole bunch of Reaktor devices that no one else has seen yet?
Nice edit
Dunno if this is either Hypnotic or Dark, but it definitely took a bit of wiggling and tuning away from the main classic sounds, and is a lot more minimal than what it gives out easily… I heard that the ‘themes’ were really thrown in there as a bonus, and that the real ‘meat and potatoes’ is in creating your own patterns by diving into the sequencer and sound generators.
This is also what I have found to be true, and it taken like that it is a hell of a good time hand-crafting a bunch of vibes that you like and then letting the thing ‘wander’ between the created patterns
Thank you for the helpful feedback.
MIDI Out version is now out for download. I downloaded it, but have not tried it yet.
But I think that’s a game changer for me since I can send patterns from it into my synths and completely change the vibe compared to how the plugin sounds. At least that is the plan…
I really want to try Scapeshift but am worried about CPU levels. I’m using a Windows 11 laptop with 8gb RAM and have problems with Omnishere. Can anyone advise me on this. Thank you
In terms of system requirements, the more recent your system the better. Scapeshift takes ~35% of a single core of my M2 Max Macbook Pro and ~70% of one core of my 2016 Intel Macbook Pro. A buffer size of at least 512 samples is recommended as Scapeshift does a lot of realtime event processing. This can cause clicks at lower buffer sizes. It’s recommended to run Scapeshift in Reaktor standalone. Most people have had success running it as a VST or AU plugin inside a DAW but some people have reported difficulties on older machines.
If you are already struggling with Omnisphere, i would not even believe Scapeshift would run especially with only 8gb RAM.
That says it all really, especially as I’d like to run it through Ableton. Thanks for the advice…
