Software update: Overbridge for Digitone II & OS 1.10A for Digitone II/Digitakt II

Sorry to be the party pooper, but I ran into a problem on a Mac (Sequoia 15.4).

I can’t seem to get the Overbridge USB driver to be working. Everything in System Settings is “go”, but the Overbridge Engine does not seem to accept the settings.

> Please give permission in System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions to install the USB diver.

Anyone else?

Yes, this can happen. Just go to the place it suggests and give your blessings to Overbridge.

this ones big to me, annoyed me how it wasn’t relative.

Thank you for update!

dumb

Does this mean anyone on DT2 updating also needs to reinstall OB?
My DT2 ins’t recognized by OB on the new firmware 1.10A.

Edit: neither does it pop up in Transfer.
I’m on MacOS 14.6 (Sonoma)

Nevermind, it worked! (Had to detach the whole USB hub)

Overbridge not working here on macOS Sequoia. (FIXED SEE BELOW)

I launch the Overbridge engine and it just displays ‘initialising’ on the gui, but never gets any further.

Edit: I don’t mean to be a party pooper, it’s great that these updates are rolled out so soon.

Edit2: This error was fixed by force rebuilding the system extensions cache

Check out the faq on elektron site regarding extensions permissions in Mac OS.

Or maybe put your device into overbridge mode.

Ha, good news. After a re-install of Overbridge, it worked.

Thank you! Problems I had with syncing seem to have disappeared! Great that it also works with outputting effects to LR (making use of the midi plugin track to monitor those - such a treat with ableton’s limited 15 usb audio tracks per device thing) instead of having to route effects separately to audio interface. 2 more free inputs for my interface!

Now I can finally complete my setup! I needed Total Recall for DT2 and DN2.

Nice, this fixed a few bugs that had impacted me.

Though I see we can no longer track swap while playback is active, that’s a shame.

is that a shame?

seems so minor, not to diminish your take but i just can’t see that being an issue. live i imagine you’d have track swapped in advance!

Of course it’s minor. Didn’t say it wasn’t.

But I noticed immediately and now I have to take an extra step any time I track swap while playback is running, and I use the feature regularly to stay organized. It’s a small thing and it would never have bothered me if playback had always had to be paused… but whenever something changes, people are gonna notice :joy:

ah ok fair enough, the word shame seems less than minor to me, i guess you’ll just have to get on with it haha

i’m just pleased bug fixes are rolling out this soon after the other recent update, nice to see

When I record 15 tracks simultaneously through the overbridge in Ableton Live 12, I constantly hear clicks and pops, and they are recorded in the audio files. This applies to both DT II and DN II. At the same time, everything works perfectly on Syntakt, without glitches, with any buffer size. But the new Digi only works with a buffer size of 512 and constantly cuts out the sound. My system is win11, i9-14900k and I also run high performance mode. What could be the problem? These bugs are insanely annoying.

Thanks for the quick implementation
Quick observations :

  • Why 15 tracks ?
  • Does this mean no “send FX only” track out as on Syntakt ?
