I put a set of rechargable AAA’s a month ago, still working no prob.

These look like lithium ion batteries, not NiMH. The device should support all three types.

how quiet is it exactly? i’m curious as mine has always struck me to be in the quiet side but it seems that others here have mentioned that it is likely normal

i have been using rechargable NiMH energizer batteries. only had to recharge once so far in over a month. i think your batteries could be the problem.

my speaker absolutely slaps, it should not be quiet

It’s noticeably quieter than my other one. I’d post a vid but my wife is still asleep and the dog gets set off easy

can you post a video or even some audio demonstrating this in some quasi objective way? ill try to upload a video of mine as well and id greatly greatly appreciate your input!

Anyone else having issues updating the firmware to 1.1.2? Had new issues with the previous update. It hangs at either 0% or 1% then fails and goes to the bootloader mode.

I’m getting at least 10hrs on Eneloop rechargables that are like 6 years old.

I have tried to update for hours, doesn’t work. Tried different cables, USB ports, restarted the computer, tried another computer etc. Chrome/Edge doesn’t even find EP-133. Had no issue to update to the firmware before. So something seems a bit strange.

thanks so much for this. it sounds about the same as mine id say. i noticed your level meter was pretty much in the highest band/red/clipping range which when i do that on mine it gets to about the same volume level.

i think what im noticing is the speaker itself, as other have pointed out, just isn’t the best quality (totally fine for reference purposes) and when used in the mid-level of the volume range (indicated with the meter) it just sounds a little tinny/flimsy.

yeah i crank it pretty loud on the compressor and general levels, ive noticed that even when its red lining on the ep133, when recorded into the sp404 its not clipping. but yeah the quality isnt great for sure, im always using an external speaker

does TE post about EP-133 FW updates anywhere? i always end up finding out about FW updates here in this thread haha, but i swear i get emails from them immediately when say the op1-f has a FW update.

I use NIMh Eneloop pros and they are fine. Battery quality is typically tied to price and brand name in my short experience as a battery expert.lol

If they are cheap, they are likely cheap. If they are expensive (Eneloop Pro) they will likely work forever like mini nuclear reactors.

I normally don’t believe generalizations like this but I literally ordered every rechargeable NIMh from Amazon and they are all trash compared to Panasonic Eneloop. I had to sell an artery and kidney to afford them but if I need a pacemaker or artificial electronic kidney transplant I already have the right batteries.

So im way up. :ok_hand:t4:

I ordered these in december and i‘m absolutely happy with it. Of course no idea how good they are long term but they last way longer than 10h

I’m thinking this is the only thing I can do at this point. Project 6 is absolutely borked. :pensive:

Anyone have noisy, fizzy delay as the sound fades out? Need to figure out if this device needs to go back.

It is not noticed when there are numerous sounds all going on, but obvious when single sound or in sparse open spaces around the delay fade outs.

@darenager when you did a factory reset, did the floppy disc icon stay flashing rapidly for ages after reboot? I reset mine about 5 minutes ago the the floppy icon is still flickering :woman_shrugging:
