Thank you very much!

i havent seen or heard of any problems like that since the first few months they had launched. the first firmware had some bugs but those are long since fixed

great to know will put on wish list for next year the OP XY is too much for my budget

all the TE talk recently got me inspired to pull out the ep133. now that i have my two p6’s velcro’d up in a little box, the ep133 is once again my most easily accessible device in the apartment. had a bunch of fun making this one. i really like the chorus effect on the 808 bass. sampled the synth tones and chords off the verselab and organized it all on the 133, then tracked it out to the 404 for extra effects and sounds

was thinking about replacing my ko2 (and op1f) with the new xy but I don’t see myself enjoying the sequencing on it more than I do on the ko2 . It really is immediate, smooth, and sounds great. I do most of the beat on the ko2 anyway , so I’d probably be more annoyed by the additional bloat / menu diving that the xy’s additional features would add

My biggest issues with it are the low quality speaker and and low onboard memory but even those are minor to me. I use external speakers and only store 3-5 projects on it instead of the max 9, nbd.

Now if TE released a “field” version of the ko2 I may not be able to resist

i think the ep133 is the best thing TE has ever made, on god

almost guaranteed they make a field version. (might take a decade). it would slap. 64gigs, easy sample management with detailed screen (love the aesthetics of the current one but wanna browse sample folders). OP level mic, resample, etc etc.

Hopefully its not $2299.

Two-way audio over USB for a one cable future! Would make this the best value sampler, the Roland samplers aren’t my favourite for workflow but they have USB-C audio/midi/file management perfected on the 404 mkII and the budget P-6.

The only real thing missing from the Po series to this is pattern chaining I believe ? Ideally being able to do this individually for each part A,B,C,D.

edit Forgot about the recordable punch in effects

I feel this would make the KO feature complete while the resampling and usb audio would be nice to haves.

I bet this is already in the works to some degree but TE having a hard time displaying the sequence chain on the interface without the user getting easily lost or confused.

Yeah pattern chaining and recordable punch in fx are the biggest ones for me too. The PO’s could do that so :crossed_fingers:

With no pattern chaining anybody just simply sampling into a OT or similar and build arrangements that way

Yeah this is the way currently. Still would be excellent to have it all in the one device.

personally im not very fond of the punch in FX, it would be nice to sequence some of them. maybe having quantized punch in sequencing would make them sound less trite considering how they just sound like a mistake when they are off time. but now that i think about this more, they would need to quantize the pressure amount too or else its just gonna be a mess. that may be the achilles heel of the fx sequencing.

im sure my 404 stan hat is making me think this

Anybody rocking multiple ep-133s?

Seen some demos of this on ig and looks fun. Would give you 8 groups which is useful since there are more mixing options at group level and double storage

This kinda shows the fun that can be had with two “decks”, allowing punch-in FX to affect just the melodies or just the drums

Having 8 tracks is nice. The XY is basically going to be a super KO II + OP-Z in a Field body.

Not the ko2 imo. No way to chop samples (yet) or time stretch on the xy. Still, the consolidation of devices seems nice. I’d be lying if i said I’m not gassing a little
