To clarify, the DT uses the exact same microcontroller.
In a NAMM video, @Ess mentioned that they uses dual processors in this unit because of the performance requirements of what they designed. I assumed this meant that they used two of what’s in the DT, but I wanted to be sure.
FWIW, it’s pretty unusual to use two microcontrolers on the same PCB, because it can be hard to make them talk to eachother reliably and efficiently. I’m wondering how Elektron dealt with this, and how the workload is distributed.
