They’re serial, but with neighbour osc you can have parallel filters.

i think it can sometimes be a good idea to make a new sound while the mix is playing. Can be very helpful with tweaking. maybe if your channelsrip has compression you can also put it on when things tend to get out of control

i tried to find a standard sound that uses NEI as oscillator two but didn’t find any. Maybe because you need to store an entire kit for it to keep it the way it is?

Id say there will be minimum if not none patches with Nei osc… As that would assume some Sound to be also on the previous TRK…
You can use Nei to make “Fatter” sounds… Or “wall of sound” like sounds…
Combining 1st osc with 3rd sub osc option(pulse at -1 and -2 oct) + 2nd osc and its sub …
And on trk2 again 1st osc + sub and NEI …
