Hell yeah it does! Great job. I have the OnStage version of the Jaspers stands and am always thinking about how to mod them.
Here’s a desk I made based on the compact 88. Two shelves that slide out so that when I’m done playing, it doesn’t take up too much space. I need to use a harder wood for the top shelf so I don’t get that sag in the middle.
I was there! Guarantee Keg’s post inspired a LOT of people, i’m definitely copying the mid-century legs under a 19" rack build!
I don’t have anything to contribute to this thread unless ya’ll want a photo of a 1/4" board that I cut to 17x7", stained, slapped on velcro+rubber feet so I could easily have my old DT+DN setup for a roadtrip
Post it!
If you glued and screwed a batten underneath the sagging shelves, it should help straighten them up. Easier than rebuilding.
Love it! I keep thinking about a setup for the DT, DN2, SP-404 MK2, and MiniFreak. I think it’d be a fun and compact live setup. Not that I’ve played live in over a decade.
Years ago I made an enclosure for the SX and DN. Fun project except my shoulder was busted up at the time!
I made the acoustic panels seen in this pic, as well as the crappy poplar shelf on the desk and the heavy-as-fuck white oak pedalboard seen in the corner.
Ooo! I love the cupboard door hiding the cables. Cleans it up nicely.
I’ve always wanted to make some acoustic panels.
Back before smartphone pics, I made a pedalboard that was inspired by NYC Pedalboards designs that was bigger than our bass player’s 8x10 cab. It was ridiculous. I’m glad pedal sizes have gotten smaller.
I’m fortunate that we have a massive wood shop where I work stocked with lumber that I’m free to use at any time. I just wish I had more time…and skill
I hear you. I’m on the other end of doing carpentry to pay the bills so I have all the tools and can fake the skills, but lack the desire/energy after work to get more sawdust in my pockets.
I’ve build a some simple stands for my neutron, beatstep pro and the blofeld. Now all cables can go underneath
Nice! Love how it cleans up.
