Netraam because it is my first name backwards.
I couldn’t think of something better.
My original AKA was The Phobos Peepl, named after a track called “The Goofy Peepl Of Phobos” from the fantastic exotica album “Fantastica” by Russ Garcia. That name is dormant right now, but will probably be resurrected some day.
My current is Deimos Defender, because space, Mars (again), arcade games, and Eugene Jarvis.
Although I haven’t released anything and don’t plan to in the near future I have a couple of artist names for possible future use.
Residual Circuits - named after the Residuality Theory by Barry O’Reilly: “Residuality theory states that the future of a system is a function of its residues - the leftovers of the system after the impact of a stressor.”
Gloxth Aspect - named after my favourite fantasy character ever, Sand dan Glokta from the First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, a bitter, self-pitying, and cynical cripple who also happens to be a torturer.
Nice meaningful one!
I actually like Cloud Axis. Sorry.
HumanLFO
Because I like to modulate manually
And occasionally record these modulations in my MIDI Looper
My Artist name is not my forum name but
Niander Isegrim
It was a character developed in my artistic practice as a painter. I have always liked the sound of this name, which somehow reminds me of a medieval robber baron or a villain from a Sherlock Holmes novel. It also symbolizes something within me. On the one hand, Niander, the graecized form of „new man“, and Isegrim, the name of the wolf in the fable.
The Deccan Traps
“The Deccan Traps flood basalts in India represent over a million cubic kilometers of erupted lava. These massive eruptions occurred around the same time as the end-Cretaceous mass extinction some 65 million years ago, which famously wiped out all nonavian dinosaurs.”
As soon as I read the name, I was like ‘yeah. that’s the one’
