What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 1)

Can’t beat that price tho…

Good ole Upland.

Have had it a couple days now.
Wanted one for the last four or so years.
Glad I waited, as the price has come down considerably, and I found one in mint condition. I thought I knew it inside out from years of want, and manual reading. Turns out there are things I overlooked that make it deeper than I thought, and reinforced my decision vs a Pro 3 instead.

Intention = techno hook factory, and it’s rather good at that.

The OT + Pro 2 combo feels like hardware graduation.
Someone dump a cooler full of Gatorade on me, please.

Yeah upland it’s a town and the most remarkable thing about it is it’s also a city, It has two exits on the 10 freeway, and other impressive stuff

Wonderful. I’ve become a believer of Nord synths. Such a great sounding machine.

Preordered–still have a couple months to change my mind :grimacing:

Intention: main polysynth

From all the videos and promos it certainly seems like a great main poly. I really like the additions. They seem well functional and not some tacked on thing to grab people’s attention.

Bit of weird purchase, as I already have a pair stored down in Brighton. I paid £100 for the pair, cheapest current rrp is DV247 for £520~ a pair. I can return in store and they have a 2 year guarantee, so nothing to loose really.

It get’s weirder, this pair were in the Brighton store. Weirder than that I recommended them on a thread here last night and they appeared for sale this morning, as I was browsing that shop last night. If you’d like some more weirdness they have the MSP3 in stock as well for x2 the price each.

They are great for the price, true NS10 with bass. Though not a huge amount due to the size, really accurate and translatable, the classic, if it sounds good on these, it will sound good on anything type of monitor, great transient response. As seen, you can pick them up for peanuts if you’re lucky as they’re not hugely sought after or known about.

Always nice to see this classic landing in modern studios. Timeless. Looks in pretty good nick as well.

Yeah it’s lovely, just a bit of paint wear around a few knobs showing it was loved by the previous owner
A classic for sure.

I bought an MPE button, and they threw in a synth-like object to hold it up to my finger!

How is it?

Actually like this better than the newer ones. Played them a couple times @ Thomann and always feel my beloved NL2 sounds nicer. Totally subjective, I know.
You will have lots of fun with this!:exploding_head::headphones:

It’s not an all black A4, but I am very satisfied with the additional 5 keys and more blinky lights. Gotta result in better music, right?

(Peak is not new, Keystep 37 is!)
