New Force JURA plugin synth!
Has anyone upgraded the internal SD card of their Force?
Iām wondering if a faster 32gb card could be installed or at least a faster 16gb one, using a disk image copying utility.
Is there an advantage over just slapping an SSD in there? Are you looking for a faster boot up or something like that?
It has a SSD but yeah looking to put a faster internal SD card for faster performance, I believe I have removed all the non essential files from the internal SD but still seems to be about 11gb used, given that generally you want 50% free space for best performance (on computers at least) I am thinking it might be worth a shot.
Yeah - that is an interesting one. The new delay is interesting too.
The new Delay Pro is absolutely mind bending. Really strong delays and lush washes/reverbs. And the new AutoClear function is amazing. Yesterday I ran my OB-6 through it and wow!
More delays to consider buying - woohoo!
Appreciate that kind of thinking!
Please keep us informed of any progress madeā¦
Will do, I probably wonāt have the chance for a while due to a big re-arrangement in my setup, but once I get around to trying it I will post here.
It is very good! I found that using the envelope follower to control the feedback is fun too. In the opposite way than the auto clear. So when i stop playing, the feedback will fade out, but when sustaining pads or drone like sounds it turns into this wall of sound.
Iām curious - what types of files did you end up removing?
I removed a bunch of stuff the previous owner had left behind, in the Force documents folder there were no projects, as he had deleted those, but there was a bunch of project files that I found by showing all files. There are some plugins and packs too which I have no interest in using, but Iām not sure if removing them will mess up the Force, so I left those.
I do find it ridiculous that removing factory content can apparently cause issues, reminds me of the 90ās when grooveboxes had presets in ROM.
Not sure if there is a factory reset that would remove all content also you could do this on the ssd as well.
No, factory reset does not remove any content whatsoever. It just resets all preferences and returns the device to the factory settings. Any user installed content (or content removed) is unaffected.
Force MIDI I/O question here. I am unable to record incoming midi notes, or play plugin instruments with an external controller.
On Forceās midi monitor I see my notes coming in on the correct channel. I configured midi I/O on the appropriate track. But it simply does not respond to anything.
What could this be? Seems such a simple thing but canāt get it right.
Make sure you dont have a midi feedback loop. Ive had problems recording midi to clips sometimes, and it has always been because i messed up. Not sure this is your problem, but worth checking out.
And have you ārec enabledā the correct tracks?
@thomaso it was a midi loop! Never new this could exist. Thanks for pointing that out.
I was re-watching this & was wondering:
Is the Envelope Followers 1 of the Force most underrated features?
How many of you are using the Envelope Followers?
What are some cool ways that you use them?
Be honest can you hear the difference?
& is it that much to make a difference?
Since the Force & the MPC X have the same sound some may find this interesting.
3k Vintage-mode is on point. Hopefully this will stop all the hate the new MPC for its āpoor soundā. I hope he does the MPC-60 & the SP-1200.
hahahah BKLYN gonnaā get his panties all in a tussle now lmao
