Akai MPC 2000 + Digitakt one channel midi control

Hi guys,

I would like to sequence Digitakt through MPC using MPC pads to trigger all DT track sounds on one channel.
Unfortunately MPC’s lowest note is 35th and the Digitakt has this option only on the lowest octave (notes 0-7).

I love my MPC 2K drumpad feel and would love to use it that way.

So, i’m stuck.

Is there any workaround for this?

If the pads of the MPC 2000 cannot send MIDI notes on more than one channel at a time, then the best workaround would be to use an external MIDI processing device to transpose the note messages down to the range that the AR requires.

Or if you don’t feel like using a hardware device, If you have a DAW like Ableton, you can route the MPC through there, and use a realtime MIDI transpose function.
