Still haven’t gotten it to calibrate. But, If I mash lots of buttons rapidly the pop up will disappear and I can use the machine. However, it does seem sort of glitchy and slow.
When I go into system/calibration/warm-up calibration it says “calibration scheduled” but, when I restart I’m just back to the screen asking me to run the calibration. Then back to rapidly mashing buttons until the screen goes away.
I tried reinstalling the OS multiple times, nothing changes.
Delighted about this. Thanks @Elektron! Sequencing duties are covered elsewhere so most excited about new machines/parameters.
Calibration still ongoing. Anyone got a feel for the HH lab? Keen to give this a whirl.
Thank you Elektron for this really amazing update! This covers quite a lot of features / workflow improvements and bug fixes which we had genuinely been hoping for RYTM to have for many years.
I was especially excited to decrease the LED brightness, however (with my grey MKII), I’m finding that it’s exceedingly difficult to see what page is selected with any setting other than high (even in very low ambient lighting conditions).
Grey MKII here and no such problem, unless looking at page leds directly from above perpendicular…
However the display brightness setting ‘low or mid’ revert to ‘high’ after the screensaver time (the time which usually dims the display). A little bug i guess.
Follow-up, mine still goes haywire, BUT if when it boots, the first thing I do is wiggle the TRACK LEVEL encoder, then things seem to work normally. it’s very weird, i still intend to email them.
on yours, boot it up, wiggle the TRACK LEVEL encoder, then try pressing YES.
The page looping. This is super handy, and I was dreaming about it for years. Simple and really useful feature. The way Elektron implemented it, is more, than I wanted. Now it can be a very nice part of the performance.
New sounds. They are fantastic, especially Chip, Raw and Lab. On paper they look basic, but boy. They do deliver!
The rest I plan to do after calibration. That was a great day to have AR!!!
Oddly enough, it’s easier for me to tell which page is selected (in step recording mode) when the brightness setting is all the way down to low rather than mid. High is the most useable but also the most… retina tanning.
