We are soon beginning a new stage of beta testing of Overbridge for Digitone II and are looking for a dedicated group of testers. To participate, you’ll need a Digitone II, an Overbridge compatible computer, and ideally at least one other Overbridge-enabled Elektron device. The initial phase will focus on evaluating multitrack streaming, while work on the full Digitone II plugin progresses for the next phase. If you’d like to join, please apply via this link.
We will put together a dynamic team based on equipment most relevant to our testing needs, as well as experience and technical skills. While everyone is welcome to apply, not everyone will be selected this time. If you’re not chosen in the first round, there may still be a chance you’re invited in a later phase. We look forward to hearing from you!
I did sign up, but didn’t hear anything back, unfortunately.
I have a few tracks I am working on with both the DT2 and DN2, and it would make my life so much easier to get all the tracks into Ableton through Overbridge.
I was asking myself the same. Absolute silence was not what I was expecting. At least some sort of confirmation that my application was registered would have been nice
The post to apply is clear on this. You won’t be able to gain access to the software through any other means than directly via successful (selective) application.
I believe the above comments are referring to the lack of confirmation email when submitting the application.
Without a confirmation it’s very unclear if you were not accepted or if the application was just never received. Not the end of the world but it was a little strange.
Likewise; no response at all. Didn´t expect one though but i hoped, and it´s better to get a negative response than none at all and just be kept waiting in vain.
It´s been a while but the post is still here however, so it might still be possible to join the program. I´m still hoping to be let in.
Just applied yesterday evening, and indeed, there’s not even an acknowledgement for receiving the application. Which is a bit odd, given the amount of requested information.
If I recall… Overbridge for the Digitakt II was not as long. They announced in April with OB support released in October. I believe we are getting close to an update soon.
Yes but they were the first products so overbridge came later .
For digitone 2 i understand the product is more complex. Sadly i find it annoying that buying a 1000 euros product doesnt grant u beta rights automatically
i am also eagerly awaiting overbridge, but if i may be a bit smartars; 1000,- doesnt buy you beta access, also buggy software would also be annoying (as beta programms tent to be buggy)
if i where to guess, audio interface looks a lot like DTII and the engine part is beefed up DTone 1 … so development should indeed be faster? in my absolute noob opinion
I totally understand how you must be feeling, it must be so frustrating to feel excluded when you paid so much in advance and are now stalled. But hey, that’s just how things are sometimes in the business world these days.
I’m also waiting for Overbridge to come, and I’m really hoping it’ll be soon.
The truth has been too many months since I bought mine and it was one of the first to be sold in Madrid, it is a bit shocking that after so long nothing is known about the subject, I send two inscriptions and I did not get an answer, I just hope it will be released soon, I imagine how difficult it must be to create a software with as many tracks as Digitone2 has and that it is stable as the others are, I being sincere more than the OVR software would prefer a new machine with two oscillators and a good one. section of wave tables for both as they have other synthesizers, or limp the one that already has WAVETONE put them ay, in fact in section 2 of this same section MOD this empty, I will pray to the god of the Elektrons to do that miracle
What I unfortunately find very unattractive, and I also think that the company Elektron is abusing something, is the fact that it says everywhere in the shop that the Digitone 2 is Overbridge enabled.
And if you take the trouble to scroll all the way down, it says that it is in beta, but it gives the impression that hey… you can have the beta if you buy the Digitone 2 and are the owner of other Elektron devices.
But there’s no mention of the fact that you couldn’t even take part, which puts the marketing in a rather unfavorable light.
