This is a great iOS / iPad OS / Mac OS app that’s worth a look at. It’s a bit MD-ish and is a synth only app, so no sequencer. I use it with Playbeat 3 and it’s proving to be a lot of fun. I posted originally on the iPad Music Apps thread, but another 'naut suggested a kit sharing and discussion thread.
i’m curious why this is being described as “MD-ish” when Machinedrum is called Machinedrum because there are dozens of front end machines (sound generators, the actual synthesis engines) to choose from covering an extremely wide survey of known percussion synthesis methods, tightly integrated with a sequencer (this point is not trivial for the experience of what a Machinedrum is).
unless i’m missing something really obvious this app has one subtractive + fm synthesis engine to use over 16 voices and has no sequencer. it looks like a very capable, deep and fun percussion synthesizer but it feels like a weird mis-categorization to lump this the Machinedrum
