I’m looking for a solution to send clock via MIDI without a computer to my Eurorack. I do have a way to do this currently but I sacrifice those devices ability to just be a clock source. I wonder if this cable would work https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KQUZMJI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AWWSBQ25XFHMI&psc=1
I want to sacrifice a MIDI out channel on the DIGITAKT or DIGITONE just for this purpose of clock cv/gate.

No, you need MIDI-CV converter
You can set the port to DIN-SYNC and divide it with a clock divider or similar (/6)
special cable wiring required (not same as MIDI)

.
Probably not much use (or interest) to anyone
But this came up in a recent discussion with @void
It relates to a long term idea I have to create a clock divider to work on the Sync Pulses … coincidentally Daren Ager subsequently made a Din Sync box doing just this … but i’m into finding my own solution, potentially using the Run High Voltage to power the dividing circuit
.
stage one was to see how Elektron utilised the Din Sync ‘standard’ and whether all pins were u…
@darenager has built a device commercially which does this
if you were adventurous it’d be a nice Arduino project to do on the cheap
thanks I will check this out. Def want to ise din sync on MIDI B.
Here is the video I found in which he is using a modified din sync cable

I use one of these: Din Sync>euro
connected to thru port of digitone, clocks and reset Mutable grids perfectly.
Otherwise there’s the Expert Sleepers FH-2 (out soon, it supercedes the FH-1), which works great via USB.

this would do it and more but maybe it is overkill? I know they have a smaller usb/midi host box coming soon also that will have analog sync also. Third option is if you happen to have or want a key step it also can convert midi clock.
