I have had a lot of problems with my digitone 2. 75% of the time when I leave it on and it goes to sleep it locks up and needs to be restarted. Sometimes, like now, it just locked up in the middle of using it.
My setup is the dn2 is the interface for an ipad and an Osmose by Expressve-E, thats it.
Anyone seen or heard anything like this?
I had mine lock up mid project yesterday - had to restart. Makes me waiting for it to happen again…
It’s a new device I expect some lock ups and software glitches and stuff. It’s sort of par for the course with The way companies are doing things now. But this thing need an update or something. I’ve been really patient with it, but it’s doing it pretty regularly now. I submitted a ticket with elektron and am on my way to the store I bought it from, but I don’t think they’ll do anything. 
Does it happen only when interfacing with other products? I’ve been solely using it standalone, been messing with sounds and presets for hours, never missed a beat.
I think I read about some other elektron devices (octatrack specifically) having issues when synced to a Mac computer (specifically). like when the computer goes to sleep the device never wakes up and sometimes freaks out, something like that.
I haven’t heard of this with a tablet, but an iPad is not so different from a Mac computer.
So maybe you should contact support and ask if this is related to the same issue that Octatrack suffers from, otherwise try unplugging the USB when not in use? Don’t know what else to suggest, sorry.
It may differ, OT USB is used as usb data storage only…
With Digis there is midi and audio. I don’t know protocoles.
Are you saying the Osmose is going into the MIDI-in and the ipad is receiving MIDI from the MIDI-out of the the DNII and the analog-out of the ipad is going into the analog-in of the DNII, and the DNII is connected as the USB audio interface to your computer?
