Digitone 2 multitracking

Hi, i am trying to understand if at current state (before ob release) it is possible to use digitone 2 as a soundcard with elektron asio for multitrack recording

as far as i’ve experimented, i can only get the master L/R track over USB/Audio

maybe someone cracked smth out

Am I missing something? Can’t see any DN asio? not even L/R

i m trying to decide if upgrade from my dn to dn2 now, or after overbridge release, it depends if it is possibile now to multitrack dn2 or not

wasn’t getting anything before turning the USB parameter inside the DN from “USB” to “USB-Audio”, did you check ?

Appeared as smth like “Elektron Digitone II” on soundcard, no ASIO involved

Thanks, simply overlooked that

You should be able to select any two mono outs from any track out, you are not limited to LR Main over usb audio. But in CCA mode it is still only “stereo” or two mono tracks

That didn’t work for me. I tried today to use the digitone 2 as a soundcard on Bitwig and Reaper. It doesn’t appear on both software.
The strange thing is that on the windows audio setting I can see it.
Any idea of what i’m missing ?

Hey Mono_Lab,
Couldnt get it to work on Ableton either last month, i only had good results while using Mixxx software and routing the “Elektron Digitone II” into one of the AUX inputs

I’ll try again soon but it seems like it’s not feature-ready yet…

Just remembered that this routing/mixing software allowed me to route much more easily the incoming digitone signal into my windows soundcard for listening

there could be a way to make it go into a DAW with a few tweaks ? Haven’t tried though, good luck !

Thanks for the tips, but I will not try this. I just wanted to record the different tracks separately. I guess for now I’ll record thru my audio interface, and wait for the multitrack working, or Overbridge.

I’m not sure if this is what you’re asking for, I was able to receive USB L and R audio from DigitOne2 in Ableton Mac OS X, by setting the audio input to DigitOne 2 and the audio output to Ableton’s internal card in Mac OS X, all this by setting the sample rate to 48000 Hz and the latency to 256 milliseconds or less.
It worked great for me.
