Electronic Audio Experiments Prismatic Wall

Cool pedal. Physical modeling/Karplus-Strong synthesis. @Jeanne?

Thank you for the tag, very cool sounds in here (I love clusters), but I won’t spend any money until that Omega things finally is in my hands

Watched both videos, and my immediate thinking is surprise that we haven’t seen resonators like this in a pedal. Very cool implementation across the whole pedal. Note sequencing and quantization were really my favorite takeaways!

With an interview with the pedal maker.

Part 2

Eventide H9 has the Resonator algorithm. It has 4 note “knobs”. You can set it to resonate with up to 4 different pitches.

Prismatic Wall seems to be designed differently, with apparently one master tune knob, but multiple resonator modes to choose from (neutral 3rds, chromatic, 5ths, etc.). Chromatic mode could be cool for peeps who play violin, lap steel, etc. - when a pitch in tune with any of the 12 chromatic notes is played, resonance happens, but when the played pitch is between the 12 notes, there should be no resonance.

I sit corrected! I completely forgot about that… and feel like I have a new old toy to play with when I get off work.
