I remember there being some concern that a great acapella might overshadow beat skills, but I’d definitely be up for a return to acapellas for a future battle.

(Still working on mine. Got basic drums locked and chops created, just have to actually turn them into hooks)

It’s just preference of the organiser.

I’m sure there will be an opportunity for you to run one and could even be themed around acapellas.

I’ve thought about suggesting a challenge where everyone uses the same one and it’s about finding the best musical accompaniment to it.

yeah I figured, but it just seemed like a default rule. In the year I’ve been hanging with yall I just remember the Wu-Tang battle as the only one with bars. I usually cant tell if my track could be considered “hip hop” until I play it with some acapella track. Anyway looking forward to the playlist, between this and @aarb420 & @natehorn 's biweekly, we’ve been deep in the 80’s funk which is awesome because thats the roots of it!
