How do I connect all this gear together?

Hi! I am thinking about all the possibilities to find out what is the best way of connecting this without using a MIDI splitter:
Arturia keystep
Digitakt
Korg Volca Bass
Novation circuit

So far I’ve been doing it like this:

Arturia keystep > Digitakt >out>Korg Volca Bass
Digitakt>thru>Novation Circuit

So far everything is good, but what I want to accomplish is that the digitakt is the master clock. The keystep is not a reliable master clock for me and would like to keep the tempo per pattern.

My idea was maybe to send clock from Digitakt to Volcabass and from it to keystep through the sync out TRS 3,5mm cable but the problem is that the KS gets the first pulse as a “play”. Maybe I need a TS 3,5mm cable?
The not so good option would be to get rid of the Volca bass in my set and use the circuit for a bass, and connect the midi out of DT to keystep but I prefer the VB as a bass than the Circuit

What would you guys do? Is it worth a midi splitter? Should I change my Keystep to a Keystep 37 with a little screen, which is maybe more reliable for tempo changes?(the cost would be more or less the same in both cases i guess). Or would you get rid of the Volca bass?
Thanks

I’d just get one of these then you can set it up how you want, always handy to have

If stable and reliable midi clocking is important to you, I would refrain from daisy chaining anyways. Select your device with the most reliable clock as a master and send its clock to all devices in parallel via a midi splitter.
