not 100% sure as i only recently discovered Neon myself. i’m not a 4 pockets guy usually, and theres stil some choices in this app that make me go hrmmm, but overall i really dig it.
Thank you for the HU!
record it looping using the inbuilt recorder. Set source as ‘file player’
The record button will automatically start the last file you were on
You’ll still have to trim the end point of the new repeated recording
will try this out thanks
I just wonder why you would not use Loopy Pro itself for this process, which offers loop resampling and quantized recording stop.
just seems to be overkill for just wanting to take an already perfect loop and duplicate/extend it’s length 2 or 4 times… I basically just needed to copy and pasta few times at the end of the loop, if audioshare had an insert feature that would have been enough
So it’s either overkill, or no kill I guess.
i just picked up neon and used that, easy peezy to just paste where ever you place your cursor… I’m not fond of most of the editors on ios but neon is pretty good imo
4pockets apps are pretty great. So is Loopy Pro.
the only other editor i use on ios is Auditor. Its amazing, and the only other one Ive found that does beat timeline and not just mm:ss. Its multi track as well.
i had to stop using it lately cause its getting frustrating to work around this UI error on my ipad minis :
wow forgot all about auditor, that dev is open to all kinds of good ideas
im reached out numerous times. never a response.
Anyone know if Auditor can be used on M1 Macs?
considering I‘m using audioshare currently for sample management on my iPad basically before transfering samples to my DT.
What functionality has auditor that adds to my workflow?
I‘m curious, because audioshare often freezes sample preview when browsing and there might be more convenient ways I don‘t know yet.
Probably nothing. Auditor is a straight up wave editor. It doesnt file manage.
You might wanna look at sample crate if you havent. It behaves more like an extension for files.app, and has better preview, sample chain building, etc. I dont use audio share anymore for any management.
Hmmm …. maybe I’m missing something, how do you transfer to the DT ? Record the sample ?
yes, I at least I’m planning to do exclusively.
Have a look at this.

Version 1.4 is becoming even better with pops at the start and end of a file for precise trimming
hmm that’s strange, in my experience they were very responsive but that was when the app first dropped
