Im a midi noob, so sorry if the question is stupid but…
I have a Kenton usb host and ive been using it to connect op-1 with my setup.
Recently i added a matrix1000 and i want to edit its patches in computer. Can the Kenton midi usb host pass midi data to my computer via usb? Computer has no midi in. I have an octatrack, can it do the trick via usb?
On a midi bus there can only be one host. So in a standard setup you cannot connect the Kenton Midi USB host with a computer, because both wants to be the host.
There are ways to overcome this, but not on every platform (at least not easily). For example: USB OTG on Android lets you switch the mode (from USB host to USB client).
