hello
its so stupid to have a md and a digitakt and no monitor( although hd 25)…
im on a very small budget and consider alesis elevate 5 …half the price of the krk… should i really extend to the krk??? any budget alternatives??? thanks for your advice…
I have a pair of KRK Rokit 5’s and I love them. They sound fantastic for the price.
JBL LSR305, try to get your ears on a pair
Yeah the JBL’s are great for the money. We have 308’s in a room at work and I’ve been really surprised with them.
I second the JBLs. Great monitors despite their relative ugliness.
considering my budget, and that i am more after fun than serious production project, did you see a problem to purchase just one monitor first, and the second later (after all lot of party i go are in mono anyway…).
i think ill go for krk instead jbl due to the frontal event, space is a premium too, and also tied to my very low budget actually. otherwise i would have take jbl… they are really far better??
so no one use elevate 5?? assume at 120 the pair its too good to be true…
thomann actually have b stock krk rp 5 at 119, think ill take one first, and a second later…
- 2 on the jbl305s
JBL are great but the air speaker hole is at their back, so you can’t put it in a small room next to a wall
you can do it with the rokit
Happy to get shot down on this as this is only my opinion and I’m only mentioning as you say your looking more for fun than production but also look at hifi speakers.
Moniors are meant to be flat and somewhat sterile to allow you to mix. If your looking to vibe of something they aren’t the best in my opinion.
For my home DJ setup I always used a hifi setup because of this reason.
ok im gone to the jbl route at 117 e one… thanks all
You won’t be disappointed. They’re actually pretty nice for listening as well; electronic music sounds particularly good through them
