Looks cool - I like the keyboard stuff but no Arp by the looks of it.
Feels like when it was paired with the Digitakt and Digitone they were kind of excesssive for what they were providing - and as much as I like the new aesthetic I don’t like that it looks out of place with the other digis I assume theyll update them soon with MKII’s
If something doesn’t include VAT, then you pay additional tax when you import it which amounts to a VAT charge. If you see a price including VAT you never pay additional tax on top.
I suspect you will get a small % of import duty on top to be honest. I was needing some new cables and the bag will be handy so happy to pay a little more than what UK stockists will ultimately charge. Guess I’ll find out. If I get stung for some daft 20% VAT plus import then I’ll just send it back and order in UK!
But I would want my 11yo daughter to feel attracted to electronic music and my machines, and this surely helps.
I feel like it was time we see some ladies in Elektron communication material.
It isn’t misinformation though. You can pay VAT at source on purchases from the EU and still be charged Import Duty. Elektron themselves warn that the purchaser may be liable (I checked their FAQ). The bit that wasn’t immediately obvious is whether VAT was included in the initial payment and therefore handled as part of the purchase. It wasn’t particularly clear - the site suggested it would be however “Tax” is noted as £0 per my order.
Having seen how much Rubadub are charging on a pre order I’m fairly comfortable that I’ll have some small Import Duty at most to pay when it arrives. If not, then great!
EDIT: (From Elektron) The tax authorities of countries outside the EU sometimes add sales/import tax. If you are unsure of the regulations for your country, please check with the relevant public authority.
