But the tracks don’t suggest something that advanced.
True.
lolz
MORE! MORE!
I want it cluttered with I/O!
It needs a USB host input and an ethernet port!
Edit: And HDMI! How could I forget?!
Really? I didn’t notice
I’ve been waiting for this moment…all my life
The tracks sound to me like something I’ve heard from the model series, modern and semi-interesting tones that sound like there are lots of macros at play.
It’s been 5 years since they released something remotely interesting (DT&DN) for the advanced users so I certainly am not holding my breath.
Seems like Elektron are more interested in marketing tricks and entry-level units than in pushing the envelope with complex and groundbreaking devices these days.
I find it funny that whenever Elektron is being criticized for teasing and surveying the things ppl want into the existing devices and then not really delivering, there is always an army of ppl shoooting those comments down by talking about the engineers and designers as if they we’re charity workers or something.
This is not to poke fun at anyone but to point out that at times the tone of these conversations sounds a bit cult-ish, and that the passion/business -balance has IMO tilted to an alarming direction lately on Elektrons part.
I’d love to be proven wrong.
Almost an EPC Live MK3!
I think it’s RIDICULOUS that most modern music making gear STILL comes without an HDMI port. Just shows you how afraid Elektron has grown, they used to pioneer, now they won’t even give us an HDMI port on our devices just like all the others…pretty sure this new thing will not have one either, I’ve listened to the session 15 times on my headphones and studio system simultaneously and I couldn’t hear an HDMI port anywhere in the mix…I’m done giving them my money for that reason!
I hear Behringer teased a new product last month that may or may not be revealed as a new release in the coming 9 months, maybe those guys will finally do it.
Dude, they obviously just want to sell you a USB-C to HDMI dongle for a $129 per month subscription.
I want overbridge exclusively for my monitors.
Render the track as a QR code so that smart devices can enjoy the track in an instant.
Let’s face it. Humanity as a demographic is dwindling.
I’m marketing my music to robots
Brilliant! Thanks!
Edit: I don’t know if its just because I’m still waking up but that picture is unreasonably hilarious to me
what could “explore its streets” mean? is it a clue or just a weird way to say “listen to what our new thing sounds like”
interesting choice of words
someone decode this
and is it an anagram. is “lend us your ears” a zodiac-style cryptogram? or just a non-sequitor? we may never truly know
If u go back to the smaller logos a HDMI should be able to fit in there nicely
in the live stream it was like city scape sounds between each artist. I feel like it was just a transitional thing to break it up clearly, travelling from one style/artist to the next
i see
or it could be a double-anagram with ‘lend us your ears for’
exploiters adventurously
Two excellent musicians there!
Agreed. Its rare when comedy music is also pretty darn good.
When this thread reaches 10000 msgs we’ll get the next clue from them, it will be glorious…
