A while ago I made this blog post and forgot to post it here. I hope it helps.

I didn’t bother to describe what’s shown in the pictures but I can try to recall and add some notes if you’d have specific questions.

At least it describes that it’s not too hard screwing apart and back together the device. Of course some soldering skills are required.

I think this might not only help with the phones jack socket but also other sockets or pots.

If you remember the part number used for the machinedrum PCB-mount TRS socket I think it would be helpful to people, this is a question that comes up a lot (or relatively a lot, since machinedrum posts are not as frequent as say, digitakt).

The photo documentation is very good, I think that this would be helpful to someone doing other repairs just due to the fact that you’ve provided so many images.
