MCL megacommand 4.51 - midi connection issue with MCL controlling Analog Rytm from second midi port

I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered the same issue, and I hope I can explain it clearly.

I’ve been dealing with a recurring MIDI disconnection problem from the third and fourth MIDI ports on the MCL to sync tempo with the Machinedrum , which Im currently using them to connect to the Analog Rytm. The AR is set to receive both clock and transport data from the Machinedrum through the MCL. More often than not, the MCL struggles to re-establish the connection with the AR, despite everything being properly synced and working initially.
I’m using Driver 2: ELEKT on the second MIDI CTRL port (Port 2) in MCL.

The issue typically occurs within the first 10 to 15 minutes, as the MCL repeatedly attempts to sync with the AR, failing several times before it stabilizes, and often other times it permanently stops syncing, then i have to on/off everything.

If you have any suggestions, please share.

Have you tried just using standard midi instead of elektron driver?

Hey @waftlord,
Thank you for the suggestion,
At first it seemed as if the turbo x8 setting was prompting the disconnection issue, because whenever it re-synced on turbo mode, the connection went off. Also thought it might be an OS incompatibility issue with the AR(1.71)
But it was actually a tiny loose pin connection on port 3(in) of the MCL that created this whole mess, since it made x8 work from that same port. When I would turn turbo mode to off on the AR, it would reconnect seamlessly from port 4 (MCL) without issues, which made me conclude it was a hardware connection problem.
Cheers!

By the way, do you see a good reason to use x8 instead of x1 for just syncing / play, stop and prg change ?
Cheers

It’s been a while since I had the rytm hooked up with mcl. I remember it being awesome but I can’t remember the specifics of the settings.

I do remember you can set the mcl ext track mutes to trigger the rytm mutes so these can be included in mcl mute states on the cursor keys.

And you can assign the rytms perf ccs to mcl perf controllers. So mcl becomes central hub for both machines all controlled from md/mcl.

Sorry I can’t be more help with the specifics. But I imagine max turbo is best if it’s possible.

Here it is in action:
