MODEL1... Xone DB4... Digital mixer?

Long story short…
I started DJing years ago and Traktor+Xone DB4 was my go to gear. Effects and looper on DB4 are a great tool used together.
Eventually got into issues where DB4 driver was too unstable to record anything without digital clipping…
DB4 went back and forth to technical support in Switzerland… To no avail.
At that time, DB4 was not Traktor certified.
Got into some $$$ and eventually went for a MODEL1.
I am now missing DB4 effects, looper.
Thinking of buying again a DB4… Selling my MODEL1?
Or even buying a digital mixer in the same price range as DB4…
Advice anyone?

They are both produced by AH ))
DB4 is not stable with drivers in Windows
That sucks… For such price point, this is crazy)

Model 1 looks amazing for the love setup, 6 channels and EQ. Don’t know about drivers and how they work

I wouldn’t buy a DB mixer (unless it was cheap, or I didn’t use the digital side at all) these days, due to the fact that it requires custom drivers. On MacOS this is a big issue e.g. who knows if it will ever be updated to work with the new Catalina security model? On Windows maybe not such an issue now but who knows when they’ll stop maintaining the driver?

I emailed A&H support asking about this re: the DB2, they basically said they’d hope to support it for a while but couldn’t promise anything. The DB4 is still for sale so I guess they’ll keep supporting that for now, but this could change in future.

I’d definitely be looking for class compliant (i.e. no special drivers) in a digital mixer these days.

Thanks for your input.
Indeed had issues with DB4 driver…
What is your take on a digital mixer?
Looking at A&H Qu16 mixer.

I’m afraid I don’t know any more about this area, I’ve only looked at DJ mixers

i am not against digital mixer in general
AH is top in the market for that things, a lot of goodies like EQ, effects and compressors in digital
DB4 sounds good vs my second mixer - Xone 424 (analog)

What is it you don’t like about the model 1? I was keen but went for an all analogue mixer partly to avoid software driver nonsense. I got a mastersounds r4v and I love it but it doesn’t have the bells and whistles of digital. But when your feeding OT, DFAM, lyra8 and manther to it, the bells and whistles are taken care of.

@Francis
Nothing I don’t like about MODEL1.
I believe I need a digital mixer

I bought djm450 next to my ot
2 Chanels, enough for me, good sound, but no filters on the fx.
Djm750 is very nice.

I also have a xone:43 (in living room)
I used to prefer a&h over pioneer
But charged my mind 2 u ago when Pioneer upgraded their audioquality

Pioneer fx are amazing!

My bad, forgot the model 1 is analogue.
